What the club has been up to.

Guest Speaker PDG Maureen Manning

Great to meet ( if only online via Zoom ) PDG Maureen Manning who took us through the bushfire recovery efforts in the Batemans Bay area. Maureen spoke about the efforts of the residents of Greater Mogo and I have a link here to the Greater Mogo Fire Recovery website. We had the pleasure of the company of members from RC Batemans Bay, RC Traralgon, RC Phillip Island and San Remo, RC Maffra, RC Dromana, RC Hazelwood and RC Greater Dandenong, an amazing turnout.

President Grant also presented RC Batemans Bay with a cheque for $2515.32 to go towards their bushfire recovery efforts.

Thank you Maureen and all members for coming along, it was a very interesting meeting and judging from the comments during the meeting and afterwards everyone enjoyed it.

RC Batemans Bay online meeting

On Thursday night club members joined the RC of Batemans Bay online meeting and we heard from Vere and Brownwyn about their visit to Sitio Kawayan in the Philippines and their project to build toilets in this remote village. The major partners were the RC Batemans Bay and RC Intramuros Philippines plus four other Australian Rotary Clubs. Visit RC Batemans Bay International Service page to see more details and photos about this project plus other international projects that they are involved with
