President's Message

At a special general meeting of the club on Monday 13 November 2017, the club decided to go ahead and incorporate in Victoria. Action is now in hand to implement this decision. I want to congratulate the club on this important decision.

We also inducted Carol R from North Queensland at the same meeting. Welcome Carol!

We also have two other prospective members in the pipeline which is excellent news.

Have a great week.

Regards,

Deanne S.

President

This week's meeting material

Rotary Foundation Named World's Outstanding Foundation in 2016

Why Earth May Someday Look Like Mars - Every minute, 400 pounds of hydrogen and almost 7 pounds of helium escape from Earth's atmosphere into outer space. Astrophysicist Anjali Tripathi studies the phenomenon of atmospheric escape, and in this fascinating and accessible talk, she considers how this process might one day (a few billion years from now) turn our blue planet red.
