Welcome to Meeting No. 47. This week's meeting material includes a story on maternal and child health in Haiti that fits with the April Rotary theme, another piece on the Rotary Convention in Seoul (two of our members are attending), a reference to the Facebook page of the Rotary Club of Harare City CBD and a longer piece on the limits of war from TedX Sydney.

  • Maternal and Child Health Rotary- Published 2015. Set in Haiti.

  • The Limits of War - Published May 2015 - Helen Durham - In her years as an international human rights lawyer, Helen Durham has learnt that even in the worst conflicts, basic human values can prevail. In this passionate talk, Dr Durham argues that even wars must have limits. Australian born and raised, Dr Helen Durham is the first woman to head International Law and Policy at the International Committee of the Red Cross. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
