This week's meeting material

Bushfire Appeal

We continue to raise funds for the bushfire appeal and as of today have raised over $1500. Thank you to everyone who has donated and also shared the link to our Bushfire Appeal. Please see details on our GoFundMe page. Please go to our fundraising page and donate if you can. Share the page on your Facebook timeline and email the link to your friends and family to help us support the victims of the bushfires.

Update from Grace House - Siem Reap, Cambodia

Please follow the link here to the Grace House Facebook page where they have a story about a working bee with students from France helping clear gardens, paint pots, build garden beds and plant flowers and fruit trees. Looking through their Facebook page I can see that the students also grow their own vegetables which they sell to parents and teachers. I am hoping that I will be able to visit when we go back to Siem Reap towards the end of this year.

Vietnamese Health Cards

On Monday 03 February I met with the President ( Tran Thanh Long ) of the Sponsoring Association of Poor Patients (SAPP) and donated $4100 AUD (64,400,000 VND) to purchase health cards in Dong Thap Province in the west of Vietnam. These cards will allow 800 Vietnamese to access free health care who would otherwise not be able to afford it. Many thanks to the generous people who support this project including Drouin Op Shop, Rotary Club Batemans Bay and District 9820

If you can make a donation it would be greatly appreciated and will allow me to purchase more cards to assist needy Vietnamese. Visit our projects page to see photos and information from my trip early this year.

Cambodia Rice Drop

Update. Today I received a lovely email from our friends at Free To Shine in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Fee said that with the extra money we left with them they have now purchased three pushbikes. Fee has also purchased tinned fish and bottles of soy and fish sauce which they will distribute along with the rice we left them to families in need. Thanks for letting us know Fee, much appreciated. Please see the photo on our Facebook page.

Thanks to everyone who has commented on our recent trip to Siem Reap, Cambodia. Please have a look at the photos on our Projects page and leave a comment on our Facebook page. Cannot keep me away now as I am hooked.
