Bushfire Appeal
Special Thanks to Rob A for his fundraising efforts which has pushed us past the $2500 mark. Please continue to spread the word about our special fundraiser and share the GoFundMe link on Facebook and email. Please see details on our GoFundMe page and donate if you can, even a small amount really does make a difference. Share the page on your Facebook timeline and email the link to your friends and family to help us support the victims of the bushfires.
Smartraveller
Update - The Australian government has expanded its travel advice to reconsider your need for overseas travel at this time. Please refer to www.smartraveller.gov.au for further advice.
Many of you probably already refer to the Smartraveller website and Facebook page but just in case you have not it is a great resource for those travelling overseas or for your family members that do. Especially at the moment with the Corona Virus COVID-19 affecting many countries and the changes they have made to their entry requirements. Don't get caught out, check with Smartraveller before you travel.
Tap To Eat - Innovative school lunch app feeds thousands of kids daily
For those who are interested in how we can use technology to make supporting those in need more efficient here is a short clip that I am sure you will appreciate. Has anyone seen similar ideas around? View the short clip here
Cambodia Rice Drop
Planning has started for our next rip to Siem Reap, Cambodia around November 2020. Please have a look at the photos on our Projects page and leave a comment on our Facebook page. If you can
Vietnamese Health Cards
Update - Just received our first donation for this years project. I am aiming to donate to SAPP in November this year so the cards can be purchased and distributed before the end of the year to maximise the benefit for those in need.
On Monday 03 February I met with the President ( Tran Thanh Long ) of the Sponsoring Association of Poor Patients (SAPP) and donated $4100 AUD (64,400,000 VND) to purchase health cards in Dong Thap Province in the west of Vietnam. These cards will allow 800 Vietnamese to access free health care who would otherwise not be able to afford it. Many thanks to the generous people who support this project including Drouin Op Shop, Rotary Club Batemans Bay and District 9820
If you can make a donation it would be greatly appreciated and will allow me to purchase more cards to assist needy Vietnamese. Visit our projects page to see photos and information from my trip early this year.
